Biosketch

Dr. Akshi Kumar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology, Netaji Subhas University of Technology, Delhi, India. She is a Post-doc from Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará, Fortaleza, Brazil and PhD from Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi, India. She was an Assistant Professor at the Delhi Technological University (formerly, Delhi College of Engineering), Delhi, India and has a total teaching experience of 16 years. Her achievements and awards are highlighted next:

  • Included in the "Top 2% scientist of the world" list by Stanford University, USA in 2021.
  • 4 Research awards, the “Commendable Research Award for Excellence in Research” at DTU in 2019, 2020, 2021 and the "VIWA Outstanding Women in Engineering (Computer Science & Engineering)" in 2020. 
  • Published 76 peer-reviewed journal papers, including 37 SCIE publications (04 Transactions; 03 Single Author), 65 conference papers with 4 best paper awards and 2 patents with Indian Patent Office.
  • Google Scholar citation count of 2246 with an h-index of 25 and i-10 index of 57 as on 15/11/2021 
  • Successfully guided 5 PhD and 32 Master thesis.
  • Accomplished productive collaborative research with grants of approximately $7000 from various international funding agencies.
  • PhD dissertation in the field of Web Mining mentioned in one of the USA’s leading source on latest research news (VerticalNews).
  • Pioneer study on computational natural language processing, “Sentiment Analysis on Twitter”, published in 2012 remains one of the benchmark work in the domain with 300+ citations
