Bio-sketch

Dr. S. K. Jha received his B. Sc. Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Bhagalpur College of Engineering, Bhagalpur with distinction marks and M.E. degree in Electrical with specialization in Control & Instrumentation from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi University respectively. He was awarded Ph. D from University of Delhi, Delhi. Currently he is Professor in the Instrumentation & Control engineering Department at N.S.U.T, New Delhi. His research interests include optimal control, robust control, eternal inexhaustible and sustainable energy, bio-inspired control and electric drives etc. He has published/presented good number of papers in international and national journal and conferences. He has served as visiting faculty in many engineering colleges. He is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and intermittently the member of IEEE. He is life member of Institution of Engineers, India and Swadeshi Science Movement of India. He is Fellow member of IETE. He has contributed as the Expert for preparation of Definitional Dictionary of Electrical Engineering under the aegis of Commission for Scientific & Technical Terminology (CSTT), Ministry of HRD, Department of Higher Education, Government of India. He has chaired many sessions in international conferences. He has delivered many keynote lectures and invited talks in International conferences and faculty development programs. He is empanelled by UPSC as expert for confidential work/meetings. He has discharged many administrative responsibilities at NSIT. He has been Member, Committee of Courses & Studies, Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. He had been appointed as Nodal Officer under the aegis of Delhi University Smoke Free Initiative (DUSFI). He has been State Public Information Officer (SPIO) at NSIT (presently NSUT) under the RTI Act. He has been NCC Cadet in his college days of B.C.E. Bhagalpur and got the NCC. B Certificate. In the face of burgeoning case of inhuman activity world over, his current interest extends to discovering and revealing the intertwined link between science and Universal Human Values(UHVs) and its application in society. He is great exponent of integrating UHVs in Technical Education for establishing ecological balance and world peace.
