Bio Sketch

Dr. Poonam Rani is working as an Associate Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering department at NSUT Main Campus, Dwarka, New Delhi, India. She did her Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Delhi University, India. She has more than 20 years of teaching and research experience. Her research interest includes Blockchain, IoT, Social networks Analysis, Soft Computing, and Machine learning. She has published several papers in reputed international journals including SCIE and international Scopus conferences and book chapters. She is invited as a Faculty Resource Person/Session Chair/Reviewer/TPC member in different FDP, conferences, and journals. She has reviewed several research articles in reputed international journals. She has been awarded commendable research awards for several of her papers. She has guided several B.Tech. and M.Tech. students in their major projects. She is also teaching and guiding Ph.D. students in the CSE department of NSUT.

Currently, she is a member of ISTE, IETE, and IEEE. She has worked on the timetable committee, admission committees at various levels – BBA/B.Tech. /M.Tech./PhD. She has done election duties several times in capacity of Master trainer and Sector officer. She has performed observer duty in CET2018 and CET2019, besides all the above, she has worked as a member in the following other committees like –

  • Member in “ANTI RAGGING SQUAD TO VISITS THE HOSTELS”

 

  • Publicity Co-Chairs in “International conference TEAMC2018” organized by CSE department in 2018,

 

  • Chairperson for Refreshment and hospitality for annual sports day 2020 and

 

  • Orientation officer in registration of first semester students.

 

  • Coordinator in mokksha2019-Nishad

 

Apart from this she has donated blood several times for social welfare. She is currently working as chairperson of DTCRC (CSE), NBA/NAAC/NCC coordinator, and Departmental Library coordinator, a member in DRC committee in Computer Engineering under FOT and OIC for committee room CSE. She is an executive member of AAI (Alumni Affairs Interim).
