Dr. Purnima Jain is a distinguished academic and researcher with over two decades of dedicated service in the field of Chemistry and Polymer Science. She holds an M.Sc. and M.Tech. in Chemistry from the prestigious Department of Chemistry, IIT Delhi, completed in 1992 and 1995, respectively. She earned her Ph.D. from the Centre for Polymer Science and Engineering at IIT Delhi in 2001.

Dr. Jain joined NSIT (now NSUT) in April 2002 as a faculty member in a permanent position, where she has since been a cornerstone of academic excellence. With more than 20 years of teaching experience, she has significantly contributed to both teaching and administrative roles at the university.

Her research interests are at the forefront of scientific innovation, encompassing polymer blends and alloys, nano-composites, polymeric scaffolds, bone tissue engineering, anti-diabetic studies, drug delivery systems, and porous materials. Under her mentorship, seven students have successfully completed their Ph.D. programs.

Dr. Jain is an active member of esteemed professional organizations such as the Asian Polymer Association (APA), the Polymer Processing Society (PPS), and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). Dr. Jain has published over 50 articles in reputed international journals, two edited books, a few book chapters and a few research awards to her credit.
