Bio-Sketch

Faculty in the Department of Chemistry in November 2022. He joined Zakir Husain Delhi College in 1980 after earning his PhD in 1979 from Delhi University, and he retired as principal in 2018.He had experience instructing college-level B.Sc. (H) and M.Pharma courses. Under his supervision, more than 50 students received PhD degrees, and 10 candidates received M.Phil degrees. The area of research was “Nanoparticles, Biosensors, Bio-Inorganic and Coordination Chemistry etc.”.He has more than 400 research papers published in reputable national and international journals and has also authored 1 book for seniors in high school and 8 books for B.Sc. students. He is a fellow or member of more than a dozen scientific societies, including the Indian Science Congress, Indian Chemical Society, National Academy of Science, Allahabad, and others and serves on editorial boards and reviews for over a dozen periodicals.More than 80 international and national conferences have seen him present papers, attend, and chair sessions. He has given numerous lectures for the FDP course at the college and school levels.He is connected to organisations like BOSS, NCERT, IGNOU, and NIOS.
