Bio Sketch
Dr. Neha Gupta has completed her PhD in semi-transparent photovoltaic thermal system from IIT Delhi and previously graduated with M. Ekistics (Hons.) and B. Architecture from Jamia Millia Islamia University. She has also completed courses at IIT Delhi in "Solar Architecture," "Application of Renewable Energy Sources," and "Non-Conventional Sources of Energy." She has several International SCIE publications (Q1 and Q2) to her credit, making her an active researcher. She also serves as a reviewer for numerous reputable international journals. Additionally, she has presented several papers at a number of National and International conferences. Her research in this area has received recognition on a global scale and has the potential to make it possible to develop energy-efficient structures that can withstand both hot and cold climates and provide economical access to energy security. She was given the coveted "Young Engineers Award" by the Institute of Engineers, India for her work on the research and design of sustainable mass rapid transit systems, making her the first architect to do so in the previous three years. She has also received multiple honours for her contributions in the field of research which includes professional membership (twice) in the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) and accreditation from the World Research Council (WRC). Additionally, she also received the international awards like Research Ratna Award and Best Researcher Award. She also participates actively in workshops and programmes for faculty development to further her education Dr Neha Gupta is an accomplished researcher and industrial professional having served various organisations including Jamia Millia Islamia, Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (Gazetted Officer), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. While there, she worked on several projects involving green homes and sustainable mass rapid transit, such as the decorated Noida-Greater Noida metro corridor (Aqua line), IICC metro station etc for which she received special praise from the Managing Director of NMRC and prestigious "Director Award" from DMRC. Her core motivation for research in this field is driven by her passion to design self-sustainable energy efficient buildings for the rural areas of India. The concept has already started being explored in the developed nations around the world but is still at a very nascent stage in a country like India where it can help provide energy security at an affordable price.
