Bio-sketch

Dr. Samiksha Dabas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Netaji Subhas University of Technology, New Delhi, India. She completed her M. Sc. and also Ph. D. in Physics from University of Delhi.  She is the reviewer of various national and international research journals and has numerous publications and patent.

The fundamental physics of novel functional ferrite materials has seen a phenomenal rise owing to their multifarious applications viz., biomedical, automotive & electronic industry, microelectronics, gas sensors, thermal sensing switches, MW absorbers and so on. In this respect, our research for ‘designer and new materials’ is characterised by specific functionalities obtained as a result of theoretical and/or first principles simulations, experimental results and applicability to existing materials and methods. Specific materials of research interest are the magnetoelectric multiferroic materials whose applications include energy storage & harvesting, spintronics, sensors and memory devices for next generation multifunctional devices. Further, our research domain includes electromagnetic interference shielding applications utilising materials based on ferrites-conducting polymers/MWCNT/MXenes.
