Dr. Yatender Kumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences & Engineering (Formerly, Division of Biotechnology, NSIT), NSUT, Dwarka Sector- 3, New Delhi, and his research areas include Programmed Cell Death, Innate Immunity, and Alzheimer’s disease. He did his Ph.D. from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CSIR-CCMB), Hyderabad, INDIA in the year 2010 and postdoc from Max-Planck Unit for Structural and Molecular Biology, Hamburg and DZNE, Bonn, Germany where he received a prestigious Max-Planck fellowship awarded by the Max-Planck Society. Later, he joined Premas Biotech Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon as a Research Scientist where he worked on the development of cell-based screening assays; cloning, expression, and purification of antibodies. He got associated with NSIT as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Biotechnology from 1st October 2014.

Host-Pathogen Interaction, Neurodegeneration, Toxicology, and Expression & Purification of Recombinant Proteins.

  • Awarded 1st Prize for "Dr. K. V. Rao Research Award" for the year 2010 in Biological Sciences, held on 3rd April 2010, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, India.
  • Senior Research Fellowship by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India(2006-2009).
  • Junior Research Fellowship by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India(2004-2006).
  • Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) - Qualified in the year 2004 with 88 percentile (All India Rank 55).
  • 3rd Rank in All India Common Entrance Test for B.Tech in Biotechnology program of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi (2000) and awarded the scholarship.
