        Prof. Ranjana Jha

NSUT is providing facilities of sophisticated analytical instruments to researchers through its URF program so that non availability of these instruments in their respective departments may not come in the way of researcher in pursuing R&D activities requiring such facilities. And they are able to keep pace with developments taking place globally. The facilities of this center go a long way in improving the quality of research being carried out in the universities and research institutes in the entire region.

Vision of URF

1. To strengthen technological infrastructure to carry out advanced research in various science disciplines under one roof and make their services available to academic schools and departments

2. To provide facilities of sophisticated analytical instrument to faculties/scientists/research scholars and other users from academic institutes, R&D laboratories and industries to enable them to carry out measurement for R&D work.

3. To acquire and develop capability for preventive maintenance and repair of sophisticated instruments.

4.To organize short term courses/workshops/training programs for young researchers on the use and application of various sophisticated instrument and analytical techniques at national level.

5.To generate capability for maintenance/development/ improvement of sophisticated instruments and providing assistance to other laboratories are also the objectives of the URF. URF has been catering the analytical services needed by the faculties/researchers/scientists.

URF is routinely offering short-term workshops/ training programs for young researchers on the use and applications of existing analytical techniques and supporting project work of students of Master program of various science disciplines.
