Optical communication Research Lab

General information about the lab
Optical networks are rapidly emerging due to the enormous bandwidth provided by the optical medium. Keeping in pace with the rapid development in technology, courses like Optical fiber and Computer Communication are being taught in the final year at the U.G. Level and Optical data processing at the P.G. level. The lab is being built to provide research facilities to the P.G. students. The lab is equipped with OptSim simulator, Optiwave simulator and PCs.

Telemetry and Computer communication Lab

General information about the lab
The Telemetry and Computer communication (TCC) Lab has been established to provide Internet access and general computing facility to the students of the department and also to provide lab support for the theory course entitled "Computer communication and Electronic Switching" taught to final year BE (ECE) students in VIII semester. At present the lab is equipped with 24 PCs, a server, Five sets of LAN trainer kits, 50 users network version MATLAB software.

Digital and Optical communication Lab

General information about the lab
The lab was set up to cater to the experiments needed in the subject entitled "Optical Fibers" (EC-413) an elective taught in VIIth semester ECE students and Optical data processing (SP-515) an elective taught to M.Tech students. At present the lab is equipped with three Fiber optic trainer kits, three numbers of function generator, Digital storage oscilloscope and ten user academic license network version OptSim simulator.

Wireless Communication Research Lab

Location: Room No.: 25(A), Block-IV

The research fellows working in the area of wireless communication carry their research in the lab. The output of the lab is in terms of numerous research papers published in reputed journals

PCB & Project Lab

Location: Room No.: 25, Block-IV

General information about the lab
The lab helps students both UG & PG for carrying out their project works.

DIC I & II Lab

Location: Room No.: 102 & 103 Block IV

The lab caters to the undergraduate students for the practicals based on digital circuits and systems.

Microwave Lab

The focus of the Microwave Engineering Laboratory at Division of Electronics and Communication Engineering, NSIT Delhi has been the development and use for scientific studies of microwave frequencies. Our major areas of research involve the designing of microwave filters and antennas for different signal processing applications. This lab is regularly used for UG and PG students.

Analog Signal Processing Research Lab

Location: 220, Block IV (Division of Electronics and Communication Engineering)

General information about the lab
Analog Signal Processing Research Lab has the infrastructure for carrying out advanced research work in the broad areas of Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing. The Lab has been a center of active research activities in the areas of Bipolar and CMOS Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, Current Mode Circuits and Techniques, Chaotic Nonlinear Dynamical Circuits and Translinear/Log-domain Circuits.

Facilities available (software, hardware)
The facilities include: HP8751A Network Analyzer, A number of IEEE-488 programmable equipments from Keithley which include Programmable Current/Voltage sources, CV-Analyzers and SMUs etc., Four-Channel Digital Oscilloscopes, HP4145B Semiconductor parameter analyzer, HP3562A Dynamic Signal Analyzer, 370A Sony-Tektronix Programmable Curve tester and a number of other standard testing equipments. Besides this, the lab also has a number of PCs connected to the Lab network as well as Institute network for working with MATLAB, Tanner Tools, Cadence Orcad SPICE version 16.3, Cadence Design suite and a number of other circuit analysis software packages (Courtesy: University of Arizona, USA).
