Biosketch

Dr. Samir Gokarn is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Studies, NetajiSubhas University of Technology (formerly NetajiSubhas Institute of Technology), New Delhi. He has completed his Ph.D. degree from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad (2018). Before making his transition to academia, he worked as an associate manager in a Netherland-based company, named Transnano (2011-2013). In the year 2014, he was awarded a Bronze Medal in the course work on Research Methodology at the national level and was also awarded JRF by the UGC- India in Management Stream in the year 2012. His research interests are in the areas of the food supply chain, food waste, blockchain technology, business analytics, sustainability management, and strategic management. Moreover, he has published papers in ‘A’ category journals listed in the ABDC journal list with an impact factor of 5 and above, and one of the journals (JCP) is listed as the topmost publication in Google Scholar’s Sustainable Development category. Besides, he also serves as the reviewer for several high-impact journals (Ex. IJPR (A*), IMM (A*), and many more). He is also appointed as a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Operations and Management Research (JOMR). His area of expertise is statistics and data analysis, supply chain management, circular economy and sustainability, strategic management and entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence.
