Department of Architecture and Planning

Established in 2021, the department of Architecture and Planning is one of the newest departments of NSUT. The department is located in NSUT West Campus and together with the Department of Civil Engineering forms the Faculty of Infrastructure Technology. The department has been established with the main motive to contribute significantly to the areas of teaching, research and consultancy.

Currently the department offers the degree of Bachelor of Architecture which is duly recognised by the Council of Architecture, India. The objective of the department is to prepare students with necessary core competencies to succeed as architects and professionals in the building construction industry.

Our five-year Bachelor of Architecture programme has the following Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs):

PEO1: Professional Competence and Design Excellence

Graduates will apply architectural and planning knowledge, design creativity, technological competence, and sustainability principles to develop effective solutions to complex challenges in the built environment.

PEO2: Innovation, Research, and Lifelong Learning

Graduates will pursue research, innovation, entrepreneurship and lifelong learning for continuous professional growth.

PEO3: Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Leadership

Graduates will demonstrate leadership, communication, and collaborative skills while working effectively with multidisciplinary teams, industry, and communities in professional practice.

PEO4: Ethical and Social Responsibility

Graduates will integrate ethical values, cultural sensitivity, Indian Knowledge Systems, heritage conservation, and environmental responsibility to contribute towards inclusive and sustainable development.
