Bio-sketch
Sushant Ghosh is a Professor at CTP, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi with over 30 years of experience in Administration, Academic and Research. Presently, He was Director (Research) of the University and also Director, Multidisciplinary Centre for Advanced Research and Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia. He was formerly Associate Professor in the Dept of Mathematics at BITS Pilani Dubai. His teaching and research focus on rotating black holes, general relativity, gravitational collapse, and Astrophysics. He has published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Sushant, with national and international collaborators, in his ongoing project, has addressed some of the key issues of black hole physics with his focus on theoretical and computational aspects. His work has been very well received by the international community and the research work is done is important and of a high standard which led to President award for research to him with his colleagues in 2015. He has four ongoing research projects funded by DST, ICTP – Italy. He is also an Honorary Professor at School of Mathematical Sciences in University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa since 2012 besides being a Visiting Associate of Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune since July 2001. He is also a Fulbright Fellow – 2018 and visited sixteen universities/colleges in the US.
