Dr. Mahfuzuar Rahman Barbhuiya is working as an Assistant Professor at Netaji Subhas University of Technology, Delhi. Mahfuzuar completed his B.Arch. degree from NIT Bhopal in 2013 and his MURP degree from IIT Roorkee in 2015. Post-masters, he worked for a year as a RA at IIT Roorkee. In March 2023, he successfully defended his PhD thesis at IIT Kanpur.
Mahfuzuar has published four research articles in Q1-level journals, one in Q3-level journal, contributed four book chapters, and has presented nine papers at international conferences. His work titled "Thesis Manual for Bachelor of Architecture" has received copyright protection from the Copyright Office, Government of India. He has self-published books entitled “GATE 2023: Comprehensive Subject-wise Study Material for Architecture and Planning” and “Thesis Manual for Bachelor of Architecture”. Mahfuzuar actively reviews Q1-level journals like International Journal of Tourism in Cities, Tourism Recreation Research, Cogent Business & Management, and Tourism Management Perspective. Mahfuzuar is also a session-organizer at the SMUS Conference, 2024.
His professional affiliations include being an Accredited Professional of IGBC, a Certified Professional of GRIHA, and a Member of ISRS, CoA and ITPI. He received the prestigious ‘Graduate Scholar Award’ in 2015 and 2016 by Common Ground Publishing. He has delivered many guest lectures at knowledge-building seminars, workshops and Faculty Development Programs (FDP).
