Vineet Kumar was born in Lucknow, India, in 1991. He received his B.Tech. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad, India, in 2013. He completed his M.Tech. in Power Systems from NIT Hamirpur, India, in 2017 and earned his Ph.D. in Power Systems from NIT Hamirpur in 2023.

He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Dwarka, New Delhi, India. Prior to this, he served at Parul University from July 17, 2023, to May 27, 2024, and worked as an Adhoc Faculty at the University Institute of Technology, Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla, from September 2022 to July 2023.

His research interests include Unit Commitment, Optimization Techniques, and Cogeneration Units. He has authored over 23 research papers in international journals, 17 conference papers, 5 book chapters, and edited 1 book. He is a life member and fellow of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

Dr. Kumar actively serves as a reviewer for several reputed international journals such as Electrical Engineering, Electric Power Components and Systems, Electric Power System Research, Scientific Reports, among others. He also reviews for various international conferences and book proposals. Additionally, he serves as Track Chair for SEFET 2024 and SEFET 2025 conference.
