Bio-sketch

Dr. Ankur Gupta received his B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science & Engineering from Gautam Buddh Technical University Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, Hmiachal Pradesh, and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, Uttarakahnd, India in 2010, 2015, and 2021, respectively. He worked as as Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, at UPES Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India and Thapar Institute of Engieneering and Technology Patiala, Punjab, India from 2021 to 2023. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), New Delhi. He is also a Deputy Coordinator in Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at NSUT, Delhi. He was a visiting scientist at the Next Generation Computing Lab, Ritsumeikan University, Japan, as part of a DST-JSPS bilateral research initiative during October 2025. He was a visiting researcher at Oulu University, Finland during November 2025. His research interest includes lab-on-a-chip, microfluidic biochip heuristics and algorithms, Medical Imaging and cyber-physical systems.

He currently leads multiple government-funded research projects in collaboration with DST and SERB, focusing on programmable microfluidic biochips, and cyber-physical systems.

He has been reviewer in peer-reviewed journals as IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging (TMI), Applied Intelligence, IEEE Access. He has also been reviewer in international conferences as DATE 2025, ML4H 2025, MICCAI 2025, CVIP 2025, CVIP 2024, ICMLDE 2023, ICONIP 2022, ICMLDE 2022, CVIP 2021, HiPC-SRS9 2016. He has been Session Chair in International Conference on Machine Learning and Data Engineering (ICMLDE) 2023 held in UPES, Dehradun, INDIA, November 23-24, 2023 and The 26th Workshop on Synthesis And System Integration of Mixed Information technologies (SASIMI) held in Nara, JAPAN, October 09-10, 2025. He has been Technical Program Committee (TPC) member in 17th IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Communication Networks held in National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa, INDIA, December 20-21, 2025.
