The Department of Chemistry, formerly under the School of Applied Sciences, was created as a separate department in December 2013. The department supports all the Engineering Divisions by offering common courses in Chemistry (theory and practical) in the first semester and Electrical Engineering Materials, chemistry-II (theory and practical) in the second semester. In addition, research work is also being carried out in collaboration with institutions like University of Delhi, NPL.
